[Sapporo Prince Hotel] We offer a breakfast buffet featuring traditional Ainu cuisine with a modern twist

Sapporo Prince Hotel (Location: Minami 2-jo Nishi 11-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido; General Manager: Masayuki Sensui) will offer a breakfast menu of traditional Ainu dishes with a modern twist at the buffet restaurant Hapuna (1F) until March 31, 2024.
(located in Minami 2-jo Nishi 11-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido; General Manager: Masayuki Izumizu) will offer a breakfast menu featuring traditional Ainu cuisine with a modern twist at Hapuna (1F) buffet restaurant until March 31, 2024 (Sunday).

In support of the Ainu Policy Division of the Ainu Policy Promotion Bureau of the Hokkaido Department of Environment and Living, the hotel has developed a new recipe that utilizes Ainu food culture to discover a new interest in Ainu culture and disseminate the new recipe, including the promotion of Ainu culture, to the public. Under the supervision of Ms. Yoshiko Tahara, a traditional Ainu cuisine inheritor, Chef Sadatsugu Hashimoto developed a menu with a modern twist on traditional Ainu cuisine.
The menu was developed by Chef Sadatsugu Hashimoto in conjunction with the [Trial Recipe Tasting of Traditional Ainu Cuisine] held on Thursday, February 9th, 2023, and consists of three types of dishes: [Ent Tea Jelly], [Chipolo (salmon roe) Sito] and [Yuk Sayo (rice porridge)]. Ent tea is a daily tea of the Ainu people.
This refreshing dessert is made with ento tea, which is made from Naginata kouju (ento in Ainu language), a herbal tea that the Ainu people used to drink as an everyday tea, and milk.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel provides an opportunity for guests to experience a part of Ainu food culture.

[Fee] Breakfast buffet per person: Adult ¥3,200, Elementary school student ¥1,600, Infant (4 years old to preschooler) ¥1,000.
Free for children up to 3 years old.
