The freeze-dried (FD) process dries the moisture in food ingredients without subjecting them to high temperatures, thus preventing loss of color and flavor. This product uses the FD method for "miso," [deep-fried eggplant], and [green onion] so that the color and flavor of the ingredients can be enjoyed simply by pouring hot water into the bowl, creating a deeply flavored cup with three different types of dashi.

<What is the freeze-dried (FD) method?>
FD (freeze-drying) is a process in which ingredients are frozen in advance and then vacuumed in a special machine to dry out the moisture in the ingredients. Since the water is removed from the food in its icy state without being heated to a high temperature, the color, flavor, and nutritional value of the food are not lost. Another feature of this method is that the original taste and texture can be restored immediately by simply pouring hot water over the food.
