Pokka Sapporo Food & Beverage released the energy drink [SPICE FACTORY Craft Energy N1] nationwide on March 6.
The 250ml can is priced at 180 yen (excluding tax). This is a new product under the [SPICE FACTORY] brand, which proposes "a new taste by combining spices and beverages".
[SPICE FACTORY Kraft Energy N1] is a natural energy drink made with naturally derived spices and maca extract. Nine spices are used: cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, clove, cumin, oregano, garlic, chenbin, and galangal.
The product is said to offer a new combination of "spice and beverage" by utilizing the spice knowledge of Yasma, a long-established spice manufacturer that is a group company of Pokka Sapporo Food & Beverage and using ingredients gathered from around the world.
According to a user survey conducted by POKKA SAPPORO FOOD & BEVERAGE, the most common complaints about existing energy drinks among those who have stopped drinking or withdrawn from the market are the sugar content, artificial taste, and unhealthy image. Sanae Majima, assistant manager of the company's Value Creation Beverage Division, says of [SPICE FACTORY Craft Energy N1], "We propose it as an energy drink that can be used daily without guilt". The general energy drink elements are realized with spices and maca extract, and carbonation is added. It also features a food additive sweetener-free and caffeine-free design.
