Toraya’s cute rabbit red and white buns [Usagi Manju] to be sold in some stores on March 15th

Toraya [Usagi Manjuu]

 

Toraya, which operates the Japanese confectionery store Toraya, will start selling [Usagi Manju] (rabbit bun) in stores on March 15th at some specific stores.

This is a set of two cute red and white buns in the shape of a rabbit. You can enjoy the rich flavor of [Tororo manju] made from yam. The white skin contains "gozen-an" (red bean paste) and the red skin contains "ogura-an" (sweet bean paste). The price is 1,188 yen including tax. The product will be presented in a decorative box.

According to Toraya, rabbits are believed to bring good luck because of their fertility, and their cute red-and-white lined appearance is "ideal as a festive gift". In-store sales of special-order products, available exclusively at the Akasaka store and some directly-managed stores on the 15th of each month, and targeted for March 2023. Normally, these products are sold for general celebratory occasions such as Shichi-Go-San and for use as wedding gifts and require an order at least five days in advance, but a limited quantity will be sold in stores with no reservation necessary.

The stores targeted for March 15th [Usagi Manju] in-store sales are the Akasaka store, Tokyo Midtown store, Imperial Hotel store, Nihonbashi store, and TORAYA TOKYO. The quantity is limited and will end as soon as it is gone.
