S.B. Foods’ [Garlic Back Fat], a unique and special feeling like that of a restaurant, is easily available at home

According to a survey by S.B. Foods, 74% of households add a little seasoning to their ramen at home. The most common expectations for seasonings are "to make it taste like at the restaurant" and "to reproduce the toppings of famous restaurants".

In response to these expectations, S.B. Foods' [Garlic Back Fat] (110 g, 350 yen) was developed as a product that can easily add the individuality and special flavor of restaurant-style toppings and was released nationwide in August 2021.

The main features of this product are the crunchy texture of garlic, the richness of soy sauce, and the punchy taste of back fat, which gives it an "addictive" sensation. The new product is a realization of the so-called [garlic back fat mishmash] in the home ramen experience. Soon after its release, the product became a hot topic of conversation, and at one point sales were so explosive that supply could not keep up with demand.

In the fall of 2022, the supply system will be improved, and a renewal of the [30% Mashi back fat] will be implemented, along with the launch of [Tonkotsu Spicy Miso]. The company also embarked on a new development as part of the [YAMITSURI Noodle Topping] series. The company plans to further expand sales by promoting sales in connection with instant ramen noodles.
