Asahi Soft Drinks (Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Taichi Yonejo) will release a limited quantity of "Mitsuya Cider" label-less bottles on Amazon.co.jp from April 3rd.
We have pioneered the industry's "Asahi Label-less Bottle" series, in which products are not labeled, since 2018. Based on the concept of "human-friendly and eco-friendly," the label on PET bottles has been reduced to reduce the environmental impact of the bottles and make them easier to use by eliminating the need to peel off the label.
As of the end of February 2023, a total of 19 products in four categories are available, centering on mainstay brands such as "Wilkinson" and "Asahi Jurokucha," etc. Annual sales volume in 2022 was 6.9 million boxes, up 149% from the previous year.
With the release of the label-less bottle from "Mitsuya Cider," Asahi intends to expand the lineup of the "Asahi Label-less Bottle" series and create further awareness and eco-friendly experiences. The label will be removed without changing the popular content, and a tack sticker with the arrow feather logo and product name will be affixed to the top of the bottle to identify it as "Mitsuya Cider".
The Mitsuya brand, which will celebrate its 140th anniversary in 2024, will contribute to raising customers' "mental activity level" with the brand's appealing "refreshment," "crispness," and "clarity" under the new message of "raising mental activity level" with its "clear and refreshing sensation. The annual sales volume for 2023 is targeted to reach 42.2 million boxes, a year-on-year increase of 103%.
